Abstract:
The Project target is to develop an online library web site the will enable registered readers and library staff to access the library data base via web from any home computer with internet access.
Further more the project will give library staff the access to manage all the necessary data.
The web site will give readers the ability to order books online from home, send remarks on books, see other reader’s book comments and chat with the library staff online to get recommendations.
What makes this project unique is the ability to access the library from any where in the world.
This web site will give the library:
1. A system that can be accessed from any where in the world (if you have internet access).
2. Data Protection – giving readers limited access and library staff full access.
3. Full control to add any needed data to the system.
4. Full control on reader’s information, orders, book stock.
5. A smart search engine to find books from the data base.
6. Readers can read other reader’s book comments and recommendations.
7. The ability to chat online with library staff.
8. Readers can write book comments and recommendations.
9. Email alert - sending from the library on every book order that was made.
10. Full details on books in the library stock.
11. Readers can send the library email about new books not found in the library data base so that the library staff can get feedbacks from readers online.

תקציר:
מטרת פרויקט זה הינה הקמת ספריה מקוונת אשר תאפשר לקוראים הביתיים גישה למאגרי המידע של הספריה ולצוותה באמצעות רשת האינטרנט.
בנוסף יספק הפרויקט את כל הנדרש לצורך ניהולה השוטף של הספריה.
הפרויקט יאפשר ניהול כל ההשאלות וההחזרות, הצגת הספרים, החלפת חוו"ד בין הקוראים, הזמנת ספרים, פניה לצוות הספריה וכו' .
יחודיות מערכת זו הינה שיתוף ציבור הקוראים באמצעות רשת האינטרנט.
המערכת תתן לספריה:
1. מערכת מקוונת הנגישה מכל מקום בעולם.
2. הגנה על הנתונים באמצעות הרשאות גישה.
3. יכולת הזנת כל הנתונים הנדרשים למערכת.
4. ניהול ההשאלות, מלאי הספרים והמנויים.
5. אפשרות חיפוש משוכלל במאגרי הספרייה (שם ספר, שם מחבר, תחום).
6. המלצות ללקוח על ספרים המתאימים לו.
7. אפליקציה CHAT שתתן ללקוח את האופציה להתכתב ONLINE עם צוות הספרייה.
8. אפשרות מתן חוות דעת והערות על ספרים ע"י לקוחות.
9. שליחה אוטומטית של התראות והודעות למאחרים/ספרים שהוזמנו דרך דוא"ל.
10. צפיה בפרטי ספר (מחבר, תמונה, תקציר, המלצות קוראים) ע"י לקוחות דרך הרשת.
11. אפשרות הוספת בקשות לרכישת ספרים ע"י הקוראים.
